I have installed skype-legacy, but when I try to login, program simply exits (no error messages neither in the console, where I started skype from, nor GUI error message appears).
I also tried purple-skypeweb-git package to access skype by Pidgin. When I try to login, error message appears: "Failed getting Magic T value".

Old skype for Linux has a deprecated login, Microsoft no longer accepts logins from old clients.
The new client doesn't exist for 32-bit and the web client is unusably slow (at leaast for me).
Find another software and a new protocol for video conferencing and chatting is my suggestion (ekiga or similar).

I see, but which is that web client? Using the browser on web.skype.com or is there an installable program for that? Pidgin worked till yesterday, however adding and accepting new contacts seemed to be not working properly.

My libpurple-skype plugin still works with bitlbee and irssi.
Yes, and web.skype.com. That's the future: everything in the web as Javascript apps. :-)
