I am here, not because of a problem, just to say thank you. I installed archlinux32 on my Dell Optiplex SX 270 just fine, without any problems or bugs. Thanks for your efforts. I hope Arch32 will be viable for jears to come, on behalf of all i386 users.

I'm here to say "thank you", too!
I'm completing the migration right now. So far so good!
BTW, is it known that there are like a thousand spam users registered?
Jabber/XMPP rox!

Yes, this is a known issue.

I want it to remain as open as possible. I can deal with a little spam.

I'm also writing to say thank you! I converted 3 different 32 bit Antergos installs over and it went flawlessly. These were IBM T60's with 32 bit core duo and a Gateway M685-E with 32 bit core duo. I also cloned the Antergos install and put it on a Gateway M685-E with core 2 duo that I picked up for $50 on ebay and was going to do the conversion to 64 bit but it is working so well that since these old laptops max out a 3 GB, I'm just going to leave it like it is. When I clone the partitions, I find that a very easy way to get the new one up is to leave a little room on the drive for a 32 bit Mint install and when the Mint installs grub2, it also finds Arch. Then I just go into Arch and add grub customizer, make sure fstab is pointing to the right swap UUID, have grub customizer install to MTB and then save the configuration. Then it's all set to go with Mint as an emergency backup.
Cheers,

Hi y'all, my username is the same on the *other* Arch Linux forum.
Thank you to all Archlinux-32 developers. I'm very grateful to all of you who have taken on the 32 bit project (I realize the developer crew may be just one person).
After muddling through my first ever Arch Linux install in a virtual machine, my first hardware install was on an old 32 bit PC. That PC has been gathering dust for several months, awaiting the launch of the Archlinux-32 project. Said machine was my first love in that it served me very well while I was learning linux.
Full disclosure: My first test of Archlinux-32 is in a virtual machine. I followed instructions on your Front Page, and all seems to be working well. In the next few days, I will upgrade/update that pld PC.
Cheers!

Will do, thank you. BTW, after roughly 7 years, I'm still learning linux. The desire to learn is what led me to Arch in the first place, which in turn led me here.
The easy path for transition from the original Arch repos is pure genius! Just a few simple steps and you're done.
I will upgrade to Arch Linux 32 on the old PC today or tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Apologies for my foot-dragging. I have smoothly migrated all my 32 bit arch installs including my VMs to this project. Now it's time to get them all upgraded/updated, but that will have to wait until after Christmas.
Many thanks to devs, admin, and mods for keeping 32 bit alive. I hope all of you are well.
Merry Christmas!

Another thank-you!
I've a couple of old boxes running Arch 32, a desktop with a Pentium-III also running Windows Millenium (stop laughing at the back!), and a netbook with an Atom also running Windows Vista (look, I said stop laughing!).
I used to run Gentoo on both, and when Arch announced withdrawing i686 support, I considered returning, but I couldn't face the compilations.

Hello everybody!
I also want to say a big THANKYOU! for keeping alive 32bit Arch linux and machines.Installed Arch32 a month ago in a 32gb usb stick and Im having a rocksolid experience with my desktop pc.Tried with different DEs.Started with Lxde then Budgie, Mate and now settled with Gnome.Im going to try plasma 5.13 also when it is available in extra repo.
Arch works like charm from a usb stick.Arch+Lxde=Lightning fast.
Thanks again for this wonderful work Arch32.Continue the good work friends.

Yes, I should also extend a thank-you to all the people who worked and are working on this. I've used Arch for about six years now on a handful of systems, more than half of them still 32-bit only, so this has helped me to keep the older systems still up to date, and still keep all of the arch goodness.
If anything I also find this community more approachable, but then I tend to hang around in relatively small communities online and have never really got the hang of that twitter thing. But in any case, thanks for making me feel welcome here and not biting my head off.
Architecture: pentium4, Testing repos: Yes, Hardware: EeePC 901+2GB RAM+OS half on the SD card.
