where can i find yaourt and multilib in pacman.conf. its not there? please advise
Offline
sorry what meant was i cant install yaourt, and in pacman.conf multilib is not there
Offline
multilib is there to keep 32-bit libraries for 64-bit Archlinux, it doesn't make sense on Archlinux32.
About yaourt:
[archlinuxfr]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/$arch
But, this is an unofficial repository. At the moment it still contains i686 and ARM binaries.
If this fails, download the tarballs for package-query and yaourt directly from the AUR:
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … ery.tar.gz
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … urt.tar.gz
untar them, build first package-query with makepkg -si, then yaourt.
Offline
sorry for such a new question but how do i untar them and do i put those links in pacman.conf?
Offline
Maybe misleading: either use pacman and add the archlinuxfr repo to '/etc/pacman.conf'
and do a pacman -S yaourt.
[archlinuxfr]
SigLevel = Never
Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/$arch
If this doesn't work build package-query and yaourt by hand as follows:
wget https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … ery.tar.gz
tar xf package-query.tar.gz
cd package-query
makepkg -si
cd ..
https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/ … urt.tar.gz
tar xf yaourt.tar.gz
cd yaourt
makepkg -si
cd ..

Hello, I can not install the package-kery tarball as yaourt, this throws me the console:
$ sudo pacman -Sy yaourt

error: the operation could not be prepared (the dependencies could not be satisfied)

It is also a new installation and I have everything updated completely.
It does not let me install anything with the subject of pgp signatures ... I'm blocked.
Thank you

You need to install package-query in order to use yaourt. Use the above instructions from abaumann to compile and install it.
It does not let me install anything with the subject of pgp signatures ... I'm blocked.
What error are you getting? Probably, you need to upgrade archlinux32-keyring first, because it contains my new package signing key.

**[Solved]**
Missing:
systemctl enable pacman-init.service
After this, the .tar.gz of package-query and yaourt were installed without problems.
@deep42thought !
Thank you very much and very kind for giving me your time and attention !
A cordial greeting.
My respects.

Nice, that it works now, but you should need to enable that service only if this is some kind of live/install medium where all changes to /etc/pacman.d are undone upon reboot.
pacman-init.service basically does the "pacman-key --populate" step I gave you in the beginning.

I understand, now well; I see that for every package I want to install, I must first update/call pacman keys with "pacman-key --populate", which is normal and logical for pacman to install securely. It is that one gets used in 64 bits not to do it so often.
Otherwise, everything works without shrillness or conflicts.
PS: know how to excuse my bad English, since I write with a translator. My native language is Spanish (Es-ar)
