Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Same time downloaded binary from desktop.telegram.org works well. Here (https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/issues/5221) they recommend to contact with the package maintainer in case of this error.
Thanks !

Mmh. Weird. I checked with both i686 and pentium4 packages and telegram-desktop starts up both times.
I can sign up and use it.
Can you tell me, are you on i686 or pentium4 packages?
For instance execute: 'pacman -Qi glibc | grep Arch'
When did you last update the system? Maybe there is an API mismatch with telegram and Qt5?

I'm on i686. And the packages with segmentation fault are telegram-desktop-1.7.9-3.0-i686.pkg.tar.xz and telegram-desktop-1.7.10-5.0-i686.pkg.tar.xz.
The latter one came with the recent system update. I hoped, that after system update and the new version will fix this issue but no, they both give the same error.
Interestingly it throws the segmentation error after registering and logging, when it attempts to load some kind of contents to the final window.
The binay from https://telegram.org/dl/desktop/linux32 works well and they both have the same version number 1.7.10. But when I compare the binary sizes the one from Telegram is 110649K and the one from repo is 51649K. Maybe this bigger one have some libraries included into binary and the problem is caused by the dependency ?! In such case you are right, the problem probably will go away after some system updates. I am on Manjaro32.

Ah. You are on Manjaro32.
First, the packages from the webpage contain most likely some local shared Qt libraries, so that's why it works.
Second, Manjaro32 has not the same libraries as Archlinux32, so things might differ.
I don't really know the status of Manjaro32 (it had even less hands than we have), and I don't know, what
they are repackaging rebuilding and from which repos.

Let me try to install a Manjaro32, do the migration and see what the status of telegram/Qt is..

Thanks !
So, I think the problem seems basically solved here on the Archlinux32 side. I just thought to ask here as I saw the reference 'arch32' on the packager information.

yeah, that's because manjaro32 basically uses the archlinux32 core,extra,community repos and adds a manjaro32
repo on top. So I really wonder, what's wrong, so that it works on Archlinux32, but not on Manjaro32..
