I am into Wayland stuffs and something I am looking for is image viewer, then I found imv (available for Wayland and x11). When I use it , it just hang and stuck, not even a window pops up. I even tried using AUR version but it's older than repo version, tried compile it from github and face some issue (not show image(s)) . I use it from gnome-shell Wayland, dwl (DWM Wayland), and labwc (openbox's mimic WM). Thanks. Any advice?

I just tried it on my openbox system (running under classic X). It runs and opens a window but it just seems to show an all white image for the test image I used. gpicview on the other hand emits a recognisable picture for the same file. No logs on STDOUT/ERR so I dunno what's up with it.
Architecture: pentium4, Testing repos: Yes, Hardware: EeePC 901+2GB RAM+OS half on the SD card.

Just for a specific issue, I am talking for Wayland environment, not the x11 one. Thanks before.

Yes, I only tested it on x.org. I can try it under weston on wayland in a few minutes after I finish watching this current video I guess.
Edit: Yes, I get the same bad behaviour on weston. I get a window containing a large white 3:2 rectangle which I can zoom in and out of. Only difference is that at full scale it looks as if part of the window is off screen, as if the WM thinks my monitor is wider than it actually is.
So I can't quite reproduce your problem, I do get a window opening. Perhaps you can install and try weston.

Well, I tried eog (eye of gnome) and it works great. Guess I just need to remove the imv package.
