Performed a system upgrade today with "pacman -Syu" , but now mpv no longer works.
[user@host ~]$ mpv

Do you have vmaf installed? I do, apparently installed as a dependency of ffmpeg. Seems mpv doesn't declare this as a dependency whereas it perhaps should, althogh since nobody else has reported this perhaps most of us have ffmpeg installed for other reasons.

You had me wondering. I actually never checked if it was installed, good thinking, but alas, it is installed, but the package doesn't have the a libvmaf.so.1file, just libvmaf.so.0 instead.
[user@host ~]$ pacman -Ss vmaf ; pacman -Ql vmaf |grep libvmaf.so.
community/vmaf 1.5.3-1.1 [installed]
Perceptual video quality assessment algorithm based on multi-method fusion
vmaf /usr/lib/libvmaf.so.0
vmaf /usr/lib/libvmaf.so.0.0.0

Ah, right. Looks like the version in testing has the right version in it, but the one in community doesn't. I don't have mpv installed, but I can say that ffmpeg, mplayer (and vlc) work here with testing enabled.
