hello,
i just installed archlinux on an old i686 Pentium III-S based National Instruments Controller.
I followed step by step the installation guide, but after booting it the first time it looks like this:
i typed 'ip link'...
I thought i did something wrong during the installation process, so i installed it again, but the result is the same.
I can use the terminal just like normal, so login, using switch between terminals etc. , but i can barely read something.
It's not a hardware related problem, GRUB and BIOS look all good.
Maybe someone has an idea what the problem could be ^^

Looks familiar: I would search in the direction of console fonts: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Linux_console,
UTF-8 or 8-bit charset for the locale. nomodeset or so boot parameter and see if things change..

I wonder if this is the secret super duper strong effect in action?
Architecture: pentium4, Testing repos: Yes, Hardware: EeePC 901+2GB RAM+OS half on the SD card.

i changed fonts, keymaps etc.. but it didnt help at all
but when i changed grub settings from "set gfxpayload=keep" to "set gfxpayload=text"
it changes the whole scheme to something like "bios font" but at least i can read it now
thanks anyway
