Mmh. Something is wrong, this list doesn't make any sense to me:
Why should 'git' or 'curl' depend on 'libreoffice-still'? Those are lowlevel tools or libraries
which cannot depend on an office suite. :-)

I start to go through the list and test some of the packages and then mark them as tested..

The problem is, that dependencies are not only considered in one direction. So if libreoffice depends on curl, the block will also work. Even worse, think of:
libreoffice -> x; y -> x; y -> curl -- with x,y also in testing (but maybe even tested).
Then curl may still block libreoffice.
That's precisely, what I meant in my comment on irc.

Ah. Now I understand. :-)
So for now our only hope is to test as fast as possible..

right, something like that.
So far, once in a while I just decided "1k packages in testing is too much, I'll just move them all".

I start to think that testing core and extra is enough, community is anyway things for the ... well community.
The packages there have dubious quality IMHO. And a community package should not block anybody from
work.
