[solved] archlinux32-keyring invalid or corrupted package PGP signatur

Just doing some regular updating and encountered this at the end of the upgrade:

(40/40) checking keys in keyring                                               [############################################] 100%
(40/40) checking package integrity                                             [############################################] 100%
error: archlinux32-keyring: signature from "Andreas Baumann (sign) <mail@andreasbaumann.cc>" is unknown trust
:: File /var/cache/pacman/pkg/archlinux32-keyring-20230201-1.0-any.pkg.tar.zst is corrupted (invalid or corrupted package (PGP signature)).
Do you want to delete it? [Y/n]

I'm going to say no for now but would like to understand what is going on and how I should proceed after having said "no".

A quick search through the forum showed "pacman-key --refresh" should resolve the issue and I'm happy to report that is fixed the issue and I was able to complete the upgrade after issuing the command.

pacman-key --refresh

Yeah, sorry, we had some expired keys lately, see https://bugs.archlinux32.org/index.php? … us%5B0%5D=

Glad to hear that refresh works, in the bug report you can find a manual way to fix the problem (manually downloading the
signing keys from our key server), updating just keyring-archlinux32, etc. Just for the next time things break badly.. :-)
