Hi,
a big thanks goes to tyzoid for setting up a bugtracker!
So please, from now on, report bugs of packages there. Nevertheless, this forum should (still) be used for discussion(s) on packages.
Also note, that the build-master checks the bug list on the bug tracker for some actions.
Most notably, package-x won't be moved from testing to stable if there is an unresolved bug in category "Packages: Testing" with "[package-x]" in the title.
cheers,

Registered, I don't seem to have the right though to add a new bug. :-)

You're now a "reporter" - does that help?
ah, ok. The email notification does not work yet, so tyzoid enabled manual registration (e.g. an admin needs to approve your registration).
Offline
Yes. This helps. I can add a bug now.

Question: the package names has to appear in the summary of the bug? As on Archlinux [ffmpeg] or should we invent a convention here?
Offline
The package name needs to be in the title and encapsulated in square brackets. That's right. I thought, this was the convention upstream, too?
Offline
as an example: FS#2
Offline
Ok. Perfect.

I hope there will not be a confusion here: in the list of blocked packages we use FS#xxxx to reference bugs upstreams.
Now we get colliding flyspray number for our own bugreporting tool.
Should we have a FS#4444 and FS32#4444 for the blocking emails?
Offline
that's exactly, what I told the build-master scripts :-)
It recognizes FS32#$number

Ah. Cool. :-)

I'm filling in some already known bugs..
Offline
ok, thanks - but use the subcategories, please

Oups, maybe I need more rights, I cannot change them now..

Thanks. :-)

Maybe, there are too many different user groups anyway (who needs "basic"?)

Some questions:
- Should we theme the bug tracker in the Archlinux way? Is there an easy way to do it?
- What happens with i686 bugs over on http://bugs.archlinux.org? Will they be simply deleted?
Or can they be exported from that instance and be reimported into our bug tracking? Would
be a shame to loose known bugs concering 32-bit issues..

also see what guys said in the irc-log

Do new accounts still need both email and admin activation?
Offline
I'm not sure about that. As I read it, you can register w/o admin interaction, but we still need to promote you to "reporter", so you can actually open a bug report (which I've done now).

to spam? At least, that's what bots do in the forums. But anyway, I haven't seen one bot on the bugtracker registering yet ...
